Privacy policy

PrecisePTE ("we", "us") is a PTE Academic coaching service based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Questions can be sent to precisepte@gmail.com or +977 9744673307.

Identity data: your first and last name.

Contact data: email address and telephone number, including the country code you select.

Enquiry data: the content of messages you send us, your target score, and any scorecard you choose to share.

Social media data: if you contact us via TikTok or other social platforms, we may collect your username and the content of your messages or comments to us. Data you share on the platform itself remains subject to that platform's own privacy policy.

Payment data: your chosen payment method, transaction records, and amounts paid. We do not store full card or bank account numbers ourselves; these are processed directly by eSewa, Khalti, or your bank.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type and pages visited.

To respond to your enquiry and schedule classes | this is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.

To send study plans, resources and newsletter updates where you asked for them | based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

To improve our courses and website | based on our legitimate interest in running an effective service.

To meet accounting and legal obligations relating to payments.

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to function.

Enquiry and lead data is kept for 24 months from your last contact with us. Student records and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to staff with a genuine business need. In the event of a data breach likely to result in risk to you, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the service, and only to the extent they need it: our website and database hosting provider, our email and messaging providers (including WhatsApp when you choose to contact us that way), our learning portal provider, payment processors such as eSewa, Khalti and our bank, and our accountants.

Each processor is bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions and to keep it secure. A current list of processors is available on request.

Our website, database and email services may store data on servers outside Nepal, including in the European Union, the United States, Australia and Singapore. Where data leaves your country, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard, and we require an adequate level of protection before transferring anything.

Live sessions may be recorded so that students can review them, and mock answers, essays and speaking recordings are stored for marking and feedback. Recordings are shared only with students in that class and the instructors marking them.

We will never publish your name, score, voice or image in marketing material without your consent.

We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means. Score predictions produced by the calculator or by practice software are indicative tools reviewed by an instructor; they carry no legal or similarly significant effect.

Our courses are intended for people aged 16 and over. Where a student is under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian makes the booking and consents to the processing described here. If we learn that we hold data about a child without that consent, we delete it.

You may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests and withdraw consent to marketing at any time, including by using the unsubscribe link in any email.

To exercise a right, email precisepte@gmail.com from the address we hold for you. We respond within 30 days and will not charge a fee unless a request is manifestly excessive or repetitive. We may ask for proof of identity before releasing data.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first and we will try to put it right. This policy is subject to Nepalese law; where you live in a jurisdiction with its own data protection authority, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority.

We may update this policy as our service changes or the law requires. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell enrolled students by email before it takes effect.
